About Morgan Le Fey - A Storeytelling Experience with Cath Little
Morgan Le Fay
Nine sacred sisters live on Ynys Afallon, the magical island of apples. The name of the eldest sister is Morgan. In our oldest stories Morgan appears as a wise enchantress and powerful mother goddess. But in later medieval stories she is vilified as a wicked witch and as King Arthur’s spiteful sister.
How and why did Morgan’s story change?
The stories of Morgan Le Fay still weave a spell of fascination through time, Cath Little breathes them back to life – and helps us understand our own stories along the way.
Cath Little is a Storyteller and Singer from Cardiff. Cath finds inspiration in sharing traditional songs and stories from her home land Cymru,Wales.
Cath re-imagines the myths and wonder tales from the Mabinogion and gives voice to the goddesses and women, finding contemporary resonance in our most ancient stories.
Cath finds magic in sharing traditional folk tales and believes that old stories told “eye to eye, mind to mind, heart to heart” can bring us closer together, to one another, to the land and to the people who lived here before us.
Cath shares stories in schools, libraries, museums, pubs, community centres, parks and fields. She has “rough magic” in her voice and has been enchanting audiences across Britain and Ireland for 20 years.
