About Warren James: Leader of the 1831 Forest of Dean Uprising
History at the Hub presentation by Nigel Costley, proud member of the Warren James Gang. Nigel will discuss the Dean Forest Uprising of 1831, and its leader, Warren James, who led local people in opposition to enclosure of the Forest. He will also talk to us about efforts to celebrate Warren James Day as an annual celebration of the Forest’s radical history.
