About Spirit of Wales Make Your Own Welsh Spirit

Make your own Welsh Spirit with us. Choose between Welsh Gin or Welsh Rum.

Take your gin or rum drinking experience to the next level when you make your own unique bottle to take home with you and enjoy. Using our beautiful copper stills for 1 or 2 people, you can create your own gin or rum masterpiece from scratch in two to three hours. This immersive experience is not to be missed, giving you the opportunity to learn the art of distilling a unique gin or rum to enjoy at our distillery and at home.


How does it work?

The make-your-own experience starts with a welcome drink from our bar menu, followed by a brief guided tour with tasters to inspire your creativity. Next, you select the botanicals you would like to include in your gin or rum to give it your own unique flavour twist before you make your gin or rum.

Once you are happy with your creation, we pour you a drink or cocktail with your newly created gin or rum to ensure you love it, and then its bottled for you to enjoy or give as a gift. The best part? If you or someone else loves your Welsh spirit, we keep all recipes on file under “The People’s Spirit” for you to recreate in the future. Discover the gin maker or rum maker within you and share your creation with the rest of Wales.

What’s included in the make your own experience?

A welcome Drink (From our bar menu)
Introduction to the gin or rum production on a brief guided tour with tasters.
Create your gin or rum from scratch, starting with botanicals, then distilling, filtering, and bottling with a wax stamp and label.
An additional drink made from your gin or rum creation before bottling.
