Learn the delights of tabletop puppetry, as well as some hints and tips of how puppetry works on screen.
Emily Morus-Jones designs, builds and performs puppets for TV and film. At present, she is the only female TV puppeteer working in this capacity - going from a pitch to design, build, perform and co-ordinate for TV puppetry and practical FX for film and TV in the UK.
Previous clients & productions that Emily has worked with include: CBBC, Sky 1, Netflix, ITV, BBC Wales, Iron Maiden, Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa, The Handspring Puppet Company, Kneehigh Theatre, Cadburys, Thinkbox, John Lewis, Jam Baxter & Rag'N'Bone Man, and numerous commercials
Emily’s short film Diomysus: More Than Monogamy was produced through Ffilm Cymru Wales’ Ffolio scheme and has won 11 awards internationally, been broadcast on BBC3, and was nominated for BAFTA Breakthrough at the 2023 BAFTA Cymru Awards.
