About Pop-up Planetarium Shows
Join us at Newport Museum & Art Gallery for a free 360° pop-up planetarium experience this summer. Travel back in time with dinosaurs, explore Earth's climate systems, discover how astronomers investigate the Universe, or enjoy a guided tour of the night sky.
Spaces are limited to 10 people per show and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis on the day. Four shows will run in rotation on 19 and 20 August.
All films are suitable for a family audience. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult and visitors will be seated on the floor beneath the planetarium dome. Unfortunately, the planetarium is not accessible for wheelchair users. Shows on Wednesday at 1.30pm and Thursday at 10am will be subtitled.
These sessions are delivered by Immersive Experiences and funded through the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), supported by the UK Government and administered by Newport City Council.
