About Bridge Talk: Wildlife of Flat Holm island and the Severn Estuary
You can see so much from the top walkway of our Newport Transporter Bridge, including Flat Holm nestled in the Severn Estuary.
The estuary is a haven for wildlife and has some of the most spectacular habitats in Wales. The animals that live there are specialists, surviving in the second highest tidal range in the world!
The latest in our programme of 'Bridge Talks' will take you through some of the singular habitats of the Severn Estuary and introduce you to the wildlife that call them home, including the recent scientific discoveries on Flat Holm Island!
Find out more about the Severn Estuary, the threats to this incredible landscape, and what we can all do to help. Join Sarah Morgan, Community Engagement Officer for Flat Holm Island to discover more.
Sarah received her BSc in Ecology from Cardiff University and is now studying part time for her PhD in seabird disease ecology.
