This seminar supports artists and makers in the visual arts and crafts sector by exploring practical approaches to valuing and selling their work. It will cover how to price and rate artwork realistically, effective ways to market and present your practice, and how gallery relationships work, including what constitutes a fair commission when exhibiting. The session aims to help creatives make informed decisions and develop sustainable approaches to sharing and selling their work.
Your facilitator is Nicole Garnon, owner of Newport’s Gallery 57, opened the independent gallery nearly four years ago after a journalism career and leading the South Wales Argus. Passionate about art, she champions local creatives through exhibitions, social media and strong relationships with artists and makers.
