About Stories of the Stars: A Storytelling Event and Astronomy Evening at Newport Wetlands

About
In celebration of Wales Dark Skies Week, join award-winning storyteller Tamar Williams for a magical, family-friendly (7+) evening of star stories and constellation myths.

Tamar will share ancient tales inspired by the night sky, drawing on Greek and Welsh mythology, bringing to life some of the oldest stories ever told.

The evening will also feature Usk Astronomical Society, who will offer a practical introduction to the night sky. Weather permitting, this will include laser-guided sky tours and telescope viewing, alongside an interactive talk using a realistic live sky simulation to highlight constellations and fascinating celestial objects to look out for.

Cwtsh up with a warm drink from our café, immerse yourself in myth and imagination, and explore the wonder and mystery of the secret world above us.

This event forms part of Cysur y Sêr, a Wales-wide heritage project run by Adverse Camber, supported by Arts Council Wales and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
