About Ratoon / Subterranea / Primitive Soul

Formed with the use of social media during the testing times of the pandemic, South Wales based Ratoon, aim to make some noise with a dangerously rebellious sonic concoction of British rock. Ratoon is composed of Jack Garrett (Lead Singer & Rhythm Guitar), Sam Davies (Lead Guitar), Matti Huxtable (Bass), and Eifion Davies (Drums).

The Welsh Valleys have a rich history of producing some of the best bands globally, Ratoon plan to carry on the prestigious heritage.

After being locked down and forced to take their energy out on their instruments, Ratoon were finally able to lock themselves into a recording studio with renowned producer Richard Jackson, the result is nothing short of breath-taking.

Seconds out and from the lockdown corner, Ratoon came out swinging!
Key highlights of 2022 include national FM radio play (BBC Radio Wales and Talk Sport) and international internet radio play, prestigious support slots afore crowds in the hundreds as well as multiple headline shows.

Ratoon are intent on sharing their music with the world, taking their captivating sound from the Welsh Valleys to audiences across the globe. The ball is rolling for Ratoon.

There have been many positive reviews to date with comparisons being drawn to The Black Keys, The Clash, Suede and Green Day. The phenomenon will grow as the attention grows via their social media channels, and this interest will get people through the door to check out the next big thing.

2023 holds a promising future for Ratoon having been chosen as part of This Feelings Big in 2023 supported by the next round of single releases.
