About Newport Wetlands Wellness Walk
Join us for a restorative Guided Wellness Walk at RSPB Newport Wetlands during Mental Health Awareness Week!
A chance to slow down, reconnect, and spend meaningful time in nature. Informed by the principles of mindfulness and the practice of “Shinrin Yoku” (Forest Bathing), this experience invites you to engage your senses and gently return your attention to the present moment. Starting with a guided meditation and followed by a journey through the Wetlands you'll stop to engage in various mindful exercises.
This walk is about more than observation; it’s about action. In line with this year’s Mental Health Awareness week theme, “Action for yourself, Action for someone else, Action for all of us”, we’ll explore how small, intentional steps can support our own mental health, strengthen our connections with others, and contribute to a more compassionate community.
Whether you come for quiet reflection, shared experience, or simply a breath of fresh air, this event offers a welcoming space to reset and recharge in Nature.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
Please bring: Binoculars if you have them, weather-appropriate clothing, and sturdy footwear.
Accessibility: Fully Accessible.
Dogs: No dogs allowed except Assistant Dogs.
