Children’s author, inspirational speaker, disability advocate and lyricist Gavin Clifton will share his journey.
Gavin Clifton is a children’s author, inspirational speaker, disability advocate and lyricist. Known professionally as The Disabled Writer, Gavin was born with Cerebral Palsy and a severe speech impediment. His lived experience is central to his creative and advocacy work, which focusses on inclusion, representation an changing perceptions of disability

Using Assistive Technology to communicate Gavin delivers powerful stories and talks that challenge assumptions, celebrate difference and show what is possible when disabled voices are truly heard.

Gavin will share his journey from children’s author through to writing his autobiography and his future plans as a writer and author. His latest book "Anya and the Enchanted Wheelchair: a tale of courage, magic and a girl who chose her own path" is out now.
