About Dark Winter Tales

As the nights draw in, reawaken your love for the traditional winter spooky story in the spirit of writers such as M R James, Susan Hill, E F Benson and Michelle Paver.

Now in its third year, Dark Winter Tales invites you to gather around and listen to a new crop of horror writers reading their own unsettling stories of the supernatural. From folk legends to Victorian ghosts, cosmic horror to speculative fiction and everything in between.

Curated and hosted by aficionado of the eerie, Mat Troy, this atmospheric event gathers a talented selection of horror writers from Wales and further afield, each sharing their own chilling tales of the eerie and supernatural and maybe even your own real life ghostly encounters. As the shadows grow longer and the air turns cool and crisp, let these haunting stories immerse you in a liminal world beyond our own.
