About Bird Ringing Demonstration by Goldcliff Ringing Group

Join us for a live bird ringing demonstration by Goldcliff Ringing Group at RSPB Newport Wetlands were birds are carefully recorded, ringed and released as part of vital conservation work.

Watch trained ringers work up close, learn how bird ringing helps us understand bird movements and survival, and see birds safely released back into the wetlands. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, see the birds up close and discover more about the birds visiting the reserve.

This free event runs from 9:00am to 11:30am on Saturday 24th January and forms part of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch — a nationwide celebration of UK birds.

Weather dependent.

All ages welcome.

No booking required.

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted.
