The Riverfront Jazz Club is a monthly evening showcasing some of the best local emerging talent in Jazz, Jazz-inspired, Funk, Soul and R&B. Enjoy a cocktail and listen live to local artists soulful melodies in The Riverfront Theatre's intimate studio space.

Maeve Bluebell Wells, known as MÆVEY, is a singer-songwriter from of West Wales, now based in Liverpool. Her music is often steeped in the wild, windswept memories of a childhood spent by the sea, growing up alongside five sisters in a world where imagination reigned.
A true creative in every sense, MÆVEY moves fluidly between disciplines—acting, writing, and music—refusing to be defined by any single label. Her sound draws as much from the folklore andfairyalesof her youth as it does from the glamour of Golden Age Hollywood and the powerful vocal divas of the 20th century. She is signed to Baltic Jazz Recordings, the Liverpool based label set up by Grammy and Brit award-winning producer, Steve Levine (The Beach Boys, Culture Club etc).

You can often find her celebrated on Jazz FM, on BBC Wales and BBC Introducing. This is an opportunity you won't want to miss in catching Maevey with her intimate, stripped back versions of her songs.

The show will be opened by Rhiannon, primarily known as Rhi'N'B; a singer, songwriter, Rapper and trumpet player based in the UK. From Neo soul singing, to Jazzy trumpet playing, to Drum and Bass MCing, Rhi is not one to stick to one genre. Having performed recently at Chatteau Parche festival, and supporting artists such as Pendulum, Bladerunner, DJ Marky and many others as part of the collective Concrete Junglists, Rhi has a fire that is not short of stopping.
