St Peters Chorale (Australia)
St Peters Chorale, from St Peters Lutheran College in Brisbane, Australia, has a national and international reputation as one of Australia’s most outstanding youth choirs. The choir is particularly well known for its commitment to the commissioning and performance of choral works by Australian composers. This new music stands proudly beside masterworks of the choral tradition.
St Peters Chorale has toured extensively for nearly 40 years visiting the UK, USA, Canada, Singapore and much of Europe. During their 2024/25 tour to the UK, Germany and Austria, the 50 voices of St Peters Chorale will perform sacred and secular repertoire including choral classics and works by Australian composers. The choir is greatly looking forward to visiting Newport Cathedral again and to giving a concert in its wonderful acoustic on Monday 6 January commencing at 7.00pm.
