Residents and visitors can look forward to a truly spectacular Festive Newport this year with the promise of treats galore.

Partners including the council, Newport Now BID (Business Improvement District), Friars Walk, Newport Live, Kingsway and Newport Market are as busy as elves getting ready to make it a glittering season.

Highlights include the Countdown to Christmas event with celebrity guests, live entertainment, fairground rides and fireworks and Newport Winter Wonderland featuring a real ice rink, Ferris wheel, firepit for marshmallow toasting, rides and a fantastic selection of food and drink.

There will also be Christmas markets, Santa grotto and workshops, and many other festive-themed events.

And don’t forget - if you’re heading into the city centre for a spot of Christmas shopping, you will also be able to park for free on Saturdays in council-owned city centre car parks (16 Nov – end Dec).
