About Exhibition: Tyrrau Mawr

A film by Bedwyr Williams.

In Tyrrau Mawr, which translates to ‘Great Towers’, we witness the growth of a city of the not-so-distant future. Situated on the banks of Llyn Cau on the slopes of Cader Idris in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, the city slowly emerges to a soundtrack and voiceover. Exploring concerns around urbanisation and social engineering in contemporary cities, the artist tells us stories about its formation and the architect’s ambitions.
