About Chartist Christmas cracker-making
In this workshop we'll be celebrating Christmas remembering the chartists by making Chartist themed Christmas-crackers.
As Christmas crackers were invented in the mid 1800's not long after the chartists marched on Newport, we'll be re-imagining this Victorian-style treat with historical themes.
Join us in bringing a little chartist spirit and Christmas spirit to Newport.
We’ll be making these chartist themed with historical imagery, little toys and historical facts about the Chartists and Newport.
