Take a break from the pre-Christmas bustle by joining our popular 5-mile walk celebrating Newport's Nautical heroes and heroines with Antarctic stowaways, heroic rescuers, Hollywood liberties, pioneering women and even rogue torpedoes - discover their stories!

On one of the shortest days of the year and in the company of local historian and author Andrew Hemmings, you’ll join the Newport Transporter Project Team on a journey exploring Newport around the Bridge, uncovering the fascinating tales of 13 key people and intriguing incidents...

There will also be an opportunity to purchase copies of Andrew's book: 'Secret Newport' - an ideal gift.

We suggest parking at or around Mill Parade car park.

Although this is a free event for the Festive Season, donations are always welcome and appreciated!
