About Nansi Llwyd and the Dog of Darkness - and other strange tales of midsummer
BOOKING ESSENTIAL FOR THIS EVENT!
Nansi Llwyd is keen to fall in love…but as the sun stretches out the days, nothing is quite what it seems… Come and hear a new telling of a traditional folk tale in a midsummer mix - "it’s a love story, but not as we know it!”
Join Gwent Storyteller Christine Watkins and the Newport Transporter Bridge Project Team for some traditional stories for midsummer.
We’ll gather at the Newport Transporter Bridge East Anchorage Garden for some seasonal fiery and watery stories, then we’ll take the 2 mile walk around to Newport Transporter Bridge Visitor centre on the other side of the Usk, where we’ll conclude the tales, get a preview of the Visitor Centre, some refreshments and (hopefully) a great sunset!
Please be aware that this event involves a 2 mile walk at a steady pace in order to catch the sunset.
Due to the ongoing restoration of the Bridge above the Centre this event may be subject to change.
